On the afternoon of July 5, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Students’ Association of the University of Da Nang jointly organized the final round of the National English Contest for Students (Star Awards) 2020.
Under the theme of “Technovation – Innovation, science and technology”, 30 best contestants from 10 teams defeated more than 15,000 contestants in the city to win tickets to the third round of the contest.
Students from Faculty of Foreign Language Teacher Education are respectively members of the teams that won the First Prize, Third Prize, Consolation Prize and the Best English Eloquence Prize. Particularly, Luu Ngoc Bao Trang and Nguyen Thuy Duong, students from class 19SPA01 will be 2 of the 3 members of the team who advance to Viet Nam’s National Final Round of the Star Awards 2020 which is scheduled to take place in Da Nang in early August, 2020.

Star Awards which is an English contest for students nationwide jointly organized by the Youth Union – Student Association of National Universities, Regional Universities and key universities with the sponsorship of the Wilmar CLV Corporation with a view to raising students’ awareness about the importance of learning foreign languages.
This year’s contest has appealed to around 50,000 contestants from 150 universities and colleges nationwide in which Da Nang has the highest number of contestants with more than 15,000.
