UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES STUDIES – THE UNIVERSITY OF DANANG ESTABLISHED THE FACULTY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER EDUCATION (10/4/2017)

The Faculty of Foreign Language Teacher Education was established on the basis of handing over the teacher education training of English, French, and Chinese Faculties of universities of education. This is the 8th academic faculties of the University of Foreign Languages Studies  ​​- University of Danang ( UFLS-UD).
 
Previously,  UFLS-UD was also the  first tertiary education institution in the country to specialize in Primary English Teacher Education . The university is also assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to chair many important missions of the National Foreign Language Plan 2020, including many missions of examining foreign language competency, training foreign language teachers at all levels, training core academic staffs.
 
Speaking at the Ceremony announcing the decision to establish the Faculty of Foreign Language Teacher Education, Dr. Tran Huu Phuc – Rector of UFLS-UDN stated: “ Every year, the enrollment of bachelor’s degree in teacher education training of the university always meets and exceeds the set targets. The university’s teacher education major minimum passing scores are always at the top, with quality enrollment right from the beginning.
 
 
The generation of teacher education bachelor graduated from the university has met the requirements of teachers at all levels who are responsible for teaching foreign languages, creating the foundation right from the first educational stages, contributing to the implementation of the Plan of fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training ”
 
Dr. Le Thi Giao Chi – Dean of Foreign Language Teacher Education Faculty said: “The birth of the Faculty of Foreign Language Teacher Education  is a re-enactment of the name of foreign language teacher education and the gathering of teacher education training in an academic faculty of the university. We are aware of the strategic importance and historical significance of the Faculty in the overall development of the university”.
